Mrs. Jackie - K2A Lead Teacher
Jackie has been at JJ since the beginning. She has a tenderness with our two year olds that is unmatched. She is the cleanest person you’ll ever meet, she loves all foods, and enjoys playing dress up with K2.
Ms. Eva - K4 Lead Teacher
Eva has worked at JJ since we opened. She is a staple of Joyful Journeys. No one loves and communicates with our 4’s like Eva! She is extremely organized, her favorite color is pink, and she loves to dance with K4.
Ms. Chris- BR1 Lead Teacher
Chris has worked in childcare for over a decade. She loves babies and feels it is her calling. Chris has four wonderful children and 8 amazing grandchildren. She’s a big Alabama Fan — so Roll Tide!
Mrs. Karyaa - BR2 Lead Teacher
Karyaa is another long-time staffer at JJ. She brings a sense of calm to our family unlike any other. Her patience level is unmatched and is the master of how to use a sippy cup! No one loves our 6-12 month olds as much as Karyaa.
Ms. Q - K1A Lead Teacher
Qunasha, or "Miss Q," has been a valued member of the JJ team for over two year and is the perfect fit for K1A! She is incredibly detail-oriented and has a natural enthusiasm for engaging in water play and other hands on activities with our one-year-olds, creating fun and memorable experiences for them.
Ms. Amy - K1B Lead Teacher
Amy has been at JJ since the beginning of 2017 and is a smiling face you can always count on here. She is a huge Auburn fan and could eat chicken fingers everyday. She’s a constant at JJ and someone we can always count on. Babies all the way to ASP love her!
Mrs. Denise- K3 Lead Teacher
Denise has been at Joyful Journeys since 2017 and some might call her our hero. Working with 30 three-year-olds each day can be hard, but Denise does it with grace. She is our cricut queen and master chaos coordinator.
Ms. Kellye - K2B Lead Teacher
Kellye is a a spunky, sassy soul with a lot of love to give! She is full of positivity, has great ideas for our kiddos and really enjoys getting down to play with K2! In her free time you can find her enjoying time with her daughter or reading!
Ms. Melissa- BR1 Teacher’s Aide
Melissa has been a cherished member of our team for many years, bringing unmatched patience and care to our infant room. As a devoted mom of three boys, she truly understands the needs of little ones and creates a nurturing, loving environment for them to thrive in.
Ms. Kaitlyn- BR2 Teacher’s Aide
Kaitlyn has been with us for over a year and brings an incredible level of patience and care to our infants. She has a special way of connecting with her BR2 babies, often filling their day with songs and stories that nurture both their minds and hearts.
Ms.Maurgon - K1A Teacher’s Aide
Maurgon has a caring nature, she creates a welcoming space where little ones feel right at home. Through songs, stories, and plenty of play, she ignites curiosity and lays the foundation for a lifetime of learning adventures.
Ms. Jayda- K1B Teacher’s Aide
Jayda joined our team this year, bringing with her a genuine love for children and a passion for spending quality time with her family. She has been a wonderful addition to our one-year-old class, bringing joy to both the children and Ms. Amy!
Ms. MeeMee- K2A Teacher’s Aide
Demetria or as the kids lovingly know her as “MeeMee",” is an all-star at JJ! She has three kids: two boys and a little girl. MeeMee has always known kids are her passion and she proves that each day!
Ms. Hellena - K2B Teacher’s Aide
Hellena brings years of childcare experience to K2B with her! She is full of positive energy, a sweet smile and lots of love to give our kiddos! The kids love to hug on her and it’s hard to resist how wonderful our Ms. ‘Lena’ is!
Ms. Julie- K3 Teacher’s Aide
Julie joined us in June and has quickly become a favorite with our three-year-olds. She speaks to them with warmth and kindness, always listening to them with full attention. Our K3 class has absolutely fallen in love with her gentle and caring approach.
Ms. Alyssa - ASP Teacher
Alyssa been a great addition. She creates a nurturing environment where young minds can flourish, through hands-on activities and imaginative play.
Ms. Hannah - Teacher’s Aide
Hannah has a warm, compassionate nature and a gentle approach that creates a truly positive and inspiring environment. She fosters a space where your child can thrive and reach their full potential with confidence and joy.
Mrs. Tomeka - Kitchen Manager
Tomeka has been a breath of fresh air at JJ! She is kind, considerate, and always has a smile on her face. She makes the “yummy-est” food and our kids are always asking for seconds! She’s a wonderful mama, too!
